Liability Release

Due to the delicate nature of our products, we are not liable for any damages caused once the product has left the possession of Salted Sprinkle Signature Sweets, LLC.

We take every measure to supply you with a stable product but cannot guarantee structural integrity during transport.

We keep our cakes chilled during the entire decorating process. Allow the cake to sit at room temp for about 30-45 minutes before cutting and enjoying.

*If you are picking up cake PLEASE handle with great care: transport and display on flat level, well supported surfaces on and do not leave in temperatures above 70 degrees F for extended periods of time.

Pick Up Guidelines

SUMMER: AIR CONDITIONING MUST BE ON PRIOR TO ARRIVAL! Keep on the entire drive to destination.

Grab cake from the bottom of the box and use extremely care when moving from car to home to venue. Gently pull cake from box (giggle slightly from the non slip mat) ASK FOR HELP if needed (have them grab the box when you’re ready to pull the cake out). Use extreme care and note some cakes are EXTREMELY heavy.

Cakes need to be transported on a FLAT surface! This means the floor of your car (floor space on passenger side or trunk area if you feel comfortable having it out of your sight). If you don’t have floor space, plan on packing a large towel or blanket to push into the L-shaped crease of a car seat to create a level & secure surface for the cake to sit upon. The cake should be sitting completely flat! Secure the cake as best you can for safe travel!

Keep away from direct sunlight.

Do NOT travel with your cake placed on an angled car seat OR on the lap of a passenger.

In warm seasons, it’s extremely important that you keep your car very cool before, during and after pickup.

The best way to transport your cake is in the back of a van, station wagon or SUV. If none of these options are available, it is possible to transport smaller sized cakes in the floorboard of a car, however this is a last resort due to the potential for damage.

Drive safely and SLOWLY. This is especially important if you’re transporting a tiered cake. *Use flashers people will go around*

All of my tiered cakes are built with an internal support system consisting of strong wooden dowels and plastic support dowels to help ensure structural stability.

Driver must take extreme caution, keeping the vehicle level at all times, especially when turning corners, and must avoid any sudden acceleration, cornering or aggressive braking.

Upon arrival at the event venue, be sure to set up the cake in a cool display area away from sunlight (and away from anywhere sunlight might move to) without delay.

Never leave cakes unattended in vehicle even for periods longer than 5 mins. Head straight home or to venue.

If you are concerned about transporting your cake, please contact me at least 24 hours prior to pick-up and I will assist you with any questions/concerns you may have as you prepare to transport your cake.

Pick Up Disclaimer

When opting to pick up your wedding or specialty cake instead of having it delivered you understand that transporting this type of cake requires all of the above pre-arrangements, and you agree to prepare your vehicle in advance accordingly.

You acknowledge that once you have picked up your cake, Salted Sprinkle cannot be held liable for any damage or failure that may occur once the cake leaves our hands or during transport, handling, set up or display. Once you have the cake, it is your responsibility to transport it directly to the event venue and not leave it unattended in your vehicle or anywhere outside.
